Hey P.Trick!

Loved George RR Martin... I started reading those when it was just the first three books and the wait for the last two had nearly killed me. I wish that man wrote faster!

Anyway,

This series I am linking will be wrapping up with the 13th book in the beginning of January. The author, Robert Jordan, developed a set of great characters, similar to GRRM, but without the moral issues. You'll find no swearing, and carousing, but you will be drawn in to a great great story.

I am rereading the last two books in preparation for the final book coming out. Believe it or not, I started reading this series nearly 20 years ago and have waited a long long time for it to end. Robert Jordan actually passed away of a rare blood disease 5 years ago, and another author, Brandon Sanderson, was picked by Jordan's widow to finish the books and series. If anything, the writing has gotten better in some spots!

This series, the Wheel of Time, is not for the faint of heart as nearly each book is close to or over 1000 pages, and as I said there are 12 so far. 13th being the end.

You will F L Y through the first 4 books for sure as they draw you in with a fervor, but then the pace slows a bit, for books 5-9, and picks up with 10,11,12... It's a story that you will really enjoy...

Lots to read on it in many websites... but here is link to the books for sale, and then two sites which are invaluable in keeping the details for you so you dont need to have a notebook handy.

Good luck! Tell me what you think!

I just wrote over 20 thank-you notes for Nonni to people who sent flowers, mass cards, and to co-workers of Aunt Ann who came to her celebration of life in Bedford, Massachusetts. We were stunned by the number of Aunt Ann's co-workers who came to pay their respects. One gentleman traveled all night by bus from Baltimore to attend. Aunt Ann must have surely impacted people's lives in ways that we did not know. It was a joy to tell them how much their friendship meant to Aunt Ann and to us, knowing that her work family was helping her maintain her daily dignity.
